Kayla & Evan’s TEIA Peaks Island Wedding

Kayla and Evan's TEIA Peaks Island wedding was long-anticipated after spending an evening with them documenting their engagement in Stonington, Maine. They chose Peaks Island because Evan's family has a home on Peaks Island that he's been coming to his whole life, and TEIA because it's where his parents also got married. They also informed me during their engagement session that they had a brand new Golden Retriever puppy named Thor who would be at the wedding. He didn't get to join us in Stonington because that would have been a long journey for such a little guy, so I excitedly waited a full year to meet him.

You never know what June will bring for weather in Maine (last year really reminded us of that!), so I crossed my fingers that these two would get a stunner of a day. As Joel and I waited at Casco Bay Lines to board the ferry to Peaks Island, I was thrilled that these two had such perfect weather. Evan met us at the ferry and took us to his family home that is quite possible the coolest coastal Maine home I've ever been in. I don't typically share many details here because we love those candids, but I had to include a few to show the vibes. It was delightful!

Kayla and Evan got ready separately, sometimes with only a wall between them, and Thor happily trotted between the two spaces, making sure to give them each a lick on the face. When they were ready, they had a first look and portraits in the yard and along the water before we made our way to TEIA. We'd never been to TEIA before, and as soon as I saw the wraparound porch, I was sold. What a gorgeous location.

I could go on and on about what a magical day this was, but I have lots of days that can show that, so I'll just get to those.
