Life is a bit quiet for a Maine portrait photographer during the colder months. Things die down from November through May, so it's a great time to plan fun inspiration shoots. Chelsea and I have talked about doing a shoot together forever! We went to high school together, and I've always thought she was stunning. For this shoot, I had a specific look in mind. The look was a little different than I had intended when everything was put together, but I liked it even more! Sometimes, you pull the wardrobe and see it in your mind, but when you actually get everything on your model, it takes a different turn. That's okay! Since the holidays are coming and everyone's adding a little more sparkle to their wardrobe, I thought this was the perfect time for a sparkly blog post full of layers and textures!
For our location, I chose the garden at the University of Maine in Orono. Obviously, there isn't a lot blooming there at the moment, but the muted tones and bare trees added to the overall look I was going for.
I had so much trouble narrowing down this post. I loved them all! So, here are my absolute favorites!
