Eric and Nathalie’s wedding at The Contented Sole in New Harbor, Maine seemed a long way off when we video chatted with them back in May of 2020. We were all quarantining, so Eric was in New Hampshire while Nathalie joined our call from Paris. Planning a long-distance wedding is hard enough, then throw in the uncertainty of Covid… That’s a lot of extra stress. However, I was amazed at how well they handled everything. They were able to reunite briefly in September to take care of some additional planning and so that we could squeeze in their engagement photos at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse in Bristol, Maine.
When October 2021 rolled around, and we knew it’d be safe for them to have their dream wedding, I think we all breathed a sigh of relief. After their church ceremony, we headed back to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse for portraits. These two set aside two hours for photographs of just the two of them (be still my heart!), and the weather was almost identical to what we had experienced during their engagement session. We were given the dreamiest color palette of blues, purples, and oranges in the sky that intensified as we got closer to sunset. Maine never ceases to amaze me with how beautiful it is.
After reuniting with their guests at Fort William Henry in New Harbor, Eric and Nathalie led their guests in a parade to The Contented Sole for cocktail hour on the dock, followed by an elegant, candlelit dinner and dancing.
After a year and a half of chatting with them regularly, it was bittersweet for the day to end. However, I’ve been so excited to share these photos! Enjoy!
