Hopkinton NH Farm Wedding: Bridget & Tim

Bridget and Tim initially considered eloping at city hall before planning their Hopkinton, NH farm wedding. They aren’t the type of people who need a big fuss. However, after some encouragement from Bridget’s family, they realized they could hold a big celebration that was more their speed. Heidi of SHE Luxe Weddings had organized another wedding at the farm, so they called upon her to work her magic again.

When we first chatted with Bridget and Tim, they explained that if they were going to do a wedding, it would be laid-back and fun. So they came up with the idea to create a festival-like atmosphere that would be a real experience for their guests.
They pulled it off! After the ceremony in one of the farm’s fields, guests headed to three tents offering cocktails, barbecue, poke bowls, coffee beverages, dessert, and a Grateful Dead cover band. The space was perfect, allowing guests to freely spread out and roam between the tents. Food was plentiful, laid out in huge spreads. Tables were situated in and outside the tents, enabling guests to grab food and watch the band or head to a quieter corner of the property. When we chatted with Bridget and Tim, they mentioned that they were especially drawn to our photojournalistic style because the candids were what they were most looking forward to from the day.

I’m so happy that we spent the day with these two. They went with the flow and were up for anything, especially Bridget, who spent the entire day barefoot and didn’t hesitate when I said I wanted to take them into the buckwheat field for portraits. P.S. They explained the importance of cover crops to me along the way, so I walked away with some farming knowledge! Also, there were so many Golden Retrievers at this wedding. Bridget’s family all own multiple, so it felt like we were in Heaven when we arrived.
