Day two with Stephanie consisted of portraits in Wilmington (see day one here). If you don't know, I'm a massive One Tree Hill fan. Like, I should probably be embarrassed but I'm not at all. So, I was excited when Stephanie suggested we make the trip from Raleigh to stay with her boyfriend's family in Wilmington for a few days. We planned to visit the iconic riverwalk, and she even drove me to see all of the main character's houses. What a gem.
Wilmington is adorable and definitely lived up to the vision I had in my head before visiting. It has that cozy small coastal town feel even though it's quite big. For our shoot, we walked along the Cape Fear River and even got some shots with the bridge in the background! One Tree Hill fans, you'll definitely recognize that bridge.
It got dark quickly and started to sprinkle, so we grabbed some coffee at Port City Java (where some Karen's Cafe scenes were filmed) and called it a day. I appreciate Steph for not only allowing me to geek out but also for enabling it. She acted like she was also a major fangirl. It was great.
Here are some of my favorite Stephanie portraits in Wilmington.
