Here they are— our favorite wedding photos from 2019! I know I've said it before, but this blog post is my FAVORITE one we get to do every year. It's so fun looking back through the thousands of images we created throughout the year. I often find new favorites every time I revisit a gallery.
This post feels a little extra special this year because it's officially 2020, which means we're in our tenth year of business. That's crazy! I started the business in 2010 as Hailey Tash Photography while I was still a student at the University of Maine. Joel and I were together but not yet married, so I started under my maiden name. He started second shooting for me at my second wedding, so it became a thing —Hailey & Joel. I can't believe ten years have passed. It feels like we blinked and wound up here with ten years of the absolutely coolest and kindest clients in our archives.
This year, we revisited some of our favorite places to photograph weddings, like The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Granite Ridge Estate & Barn in western Maine, Portland City Hall, Oxbow Brewing, The 1812 Farm in Bristol, and Point Lookout in Northport, where we photographed our last two weddings with them before they closed their doors.
We photographed weddings at private residences and estates in towns we love, like Wells, Northeast Harbor, and Somesville, and I got back to Schoodic Point for the first time in almost ten years!
Finally, we got to photograph at a few venues we'd never been to before. This, after ten years of photographing all over Maine and New England, still gives me a thrill. I love going to new places! This year, we experienced Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, and The York Golf & Tennis Club for the first time.
To our amazing 2019 clients, THANK YOU! You all gave us your trust and the freedom to create these images. We were told to "go wild" and "just do your thing," and it was terrific.
I had to make a LOT of cuts, and oh, were they painful. Here are our favorite wedding photos from 2019.
P.S. We shared our favorite engagement photos from 2019 earlier this week. Check them out here.
