Southern-Inspired Maine Wedding at The Farm at Eastman Hill

This southern-inspired Maine wedding at The Farm at Eastman Hill was quite the collaboration! I am so excited to share these images from last summer finally. This shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty today, so I also decided to share my favorites!

Last winter, Joel and I escaped the cold Maine winter for a week and sipped sweet tea in Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina. We toured a few plantations, drooled over the Spanish Moss, dined on fried green tomatoes, chicken, and waffles, and sampled some tasty southern drinks. I loved the colorful architecture and the cobblestone streets lit by lantern light.

I also came home incredibly inspired by the relaxed feeling of the South and, yes, the romance. How fun would a little Southern-inspired Maine wedding photography be? So, I contacted one of my favorite planners for weddings in Maine. Sarah at Daisies & Pearls has been a joy to work with several times. I knew she would deliver exactly what I was dreaming of. She had also recently been to Georgia and was feeling the same inspiration!
We started searching for a Maine wedding venue that had a similar look to a Southern plantation. The Farm at Eastman Hill in Lovell, Maine jumped out at both of us. What a gorgeous location! I decided to change things up and found a lavender wedding gown for the shoot to add to the romance.

Emili Tardif joined us in Lovell for hair and makeup. Emili modeled for me during another photo shoot, so I knew she'd do a fantastic job.

Sarah from Watershed Floral created the most incredible floral arrangements for our shoot. They were perfect next to the paper goods from The Stationery Bakery.

MIZU provided Ross with a dapper bow tie and pocket square. Kara made for a very gorgeous bride. I am so in love with Sarah's bar cart, complete with a few Georgia peaches. Mint Juleps, bourbon, and sweet tea! Yum! White Mountain Cupcakery delivered not one but two gorgeous cakes. The first was a bourbon barrel-inspired groom's cake. The second was a delicate cake featuring lace detailing and a candy magnolia. The Stationery Bakery also provided us with elegant dance cards for each guest.

Thanks to Details Event Staging for the gorgeous dinnerware and One Stop Event Rentals for the linens and glassware!

Now, on to the photos!

Thank you to Ross and Kara for modeling for us in the hot summer sun!
