Shannon and Kenny's wedding in Acadia National Park occurred on a warm, sunny summer day. There was hardly a cloud in the sky! Shannon and Kenny had never been to the Bar Harbor area before, but they knew they wanted to travel to some beautiful place for their elopement. They asked themselves what kind of backdrops they wanted for the day (ocean, cliffs, maybe a pond), and after doing a little research, they determined that it couldn't get any better than Acadia National Park. Acadia offers all of these options in more. In fact, I always say that you'd have to work pretty hard to find a bad location in the park.
We started the day with a first look and portraits at Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, then headed to the central part of the park in Bar Harbor. The next stop was Sand Beach for the ring exchange From there, it was on to Otter Cliff, and finally, Jordan Pond for some portraits of the two of them. It was the perfect way to spend a quiet morning.
After our time was over, these two headed out for a celebratory lunch and planned to do a lot more exploring.
Here are our favorites from the day.
