Olivia and Frankie's spring Acadia wedding took place on such a beautiful day! We were lucky because you never really know what you'll get weather-wise during a Maine spring. We just crossed our fingers that it'd be anything but rainy and cold.
I started the day with Frankie as he got ready at the Harborside Hotel with Liv across the hall. The proximity was incredibly convenient because, when it was time, it only took me a few seconds to switch places and photograph Liv as she put on her final touches and read the card from Frankie.
We caravanned into Acadia National Park for their ceremony at Otter Point. In the park, we had such fascinating light. It seemed like every five minutes, the sky would go from entirely grey and overcast to the brightest blue. We even had some very cool fog move in at one point.
When I asked these two before the wedding day what they looked most forward to, both gave answers about the ceremony. Liv looked forward to seeing Frankie as she walked down the steps at Otter Point. Frankie was most looking forward to the first kiss. While the ceremony was brief, it was incredibly full of emotion (I captured Frankie tearing up a few times). We finished the ceremony with a champagne toast before I whisked Liv and Frankie away for a few hours of portraits throughout the park. Since they met in fire school, they brought their turnout coats for a few photos. I loved the nod to the start of the relationship. P.S. Those coats are heavy and no joke!
Finally, we reunited with everyone at Salt & Steele for an intimate celebratory dinner. I highly recommend it if you've never dined at Salt & Steel. The food and cocktails are fantastic!
Spending the day with Olivia, Frankie, and their families was the perfect start to the season. I'm so grateful for amazing couples like them. Here are some favorites!
