Olivia & Frankie’s Spring Acadia Wedding

Olivia and Frankie's spring Acadia wedding unfolded on a stunning day, a stroke of luck considering the unpredictable weather in Maine during spring. Fingers crossed for anything but rain and cold, and we were rewarded.

The day kicked off with Frankie getting ready at the Harborside Hotel, conveniently across the hall from Liv. This proximity proved incredibly convenient, allowing a seamless transition as I moved between them. I captured Frankie's preparations and moments later documented Liv as she added the final touches and read the heartfelt card from Frankie.

Our caravan headed into Acadia National Park for the ceremony at Otter Point. The park blessed us with captivating light, transitioning from grey and overcast to the brightest blue every few minutes. The atmosphere was enhanced with cool fog moving in at one point, adding a unique touch.

When asked about their anticipations before the wedding day, Liv and Frankie expressed excitement about the ceremony. Liv looked forward to seeing Frankie as she descended the steps at Otter Point while Frankie eagerly anticipated the first kiss. The ceremony, though brief, overflowed with emotion, capturing poignant moments of Frankie tearing up.

A champagne toast marked the ceremony's conclusion before I whisked Liv and Frankie away for a portrait session throughout the park. In addition to Otter Point, we stopped at Little Hunters Beach and Jordan Pond. With their origins in fire school, they brought their turnout coats for a nod to the beginning of their relationship—a delightful touch, even if those coats are no joke in terms of weight.

The celebration continued at Salt & Steele for an intimate dinner. I highly recommend it for its fantastic food and cocktails. Spending the day with Olivia, Frankie, and their families set the perfect tone for the season. I'm so grateful for incredible couples like them.
