I’m excited to share Jessica and Brent’s wedding in Ellsworth, Maine today. I remember walking Jessica’s family property with her months before their wedding. It was beautiful. In fact, I think I said, “wow. This is gorgeous!” at least ten times as she gave me the tour. Brent was away serving our country, so I wasn’t able to meet him, but hearing Jessica talk about him and all of their plans made me really excited.
These two were already legally married due to Brent’s busy schedule, but they were able to come together with friends and family over Independence Day weekend for the huge celebration they had been planning for months. My favorite part of the day was listening to Brent’s vows. He had kept me laughing for most of the day, so when he choked up during his wonderfully romantic vows, I teared up instantly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The carefully placed details (including the “Mutual Weirdness Forever” sign at their ceremony that I loved); moments between Jessica, Brent and their daughter; amazing sunset; wood-fired pizza from Harvest Moon; and laughter over the best man stripping down to a t-shirt and underwear during his toast made this one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever photographed.
Here are some of my favorites from the day!
