We’ve always wanted to photograph a brewery wedding in Portland, Maine, and when Joel and I started the rebranding process, I wanted to plan a shoot inspired by our new look. Sarah Goodwin of Daisies & Pearls jumped on board to help plan this incredible shoot using our inspiration boards that we had also used with our excellent branding designer at Copper Kettle Co. We wanted it to be fun and bright and shoot in a brewery. Sarah found the dress that, I feel, was the cherry on top of this shoot. It would not have been the same with just any dress. She also made that gorgeous bouquet! Sarah rocks!
Oxbow Brewing Company allowed us to shoot in their Portland Blending & Bottling location. Then, Two Fat Cats Bakery invited us in for a sweet treat, and the fabulous Jessica of Jessica Candage Hair & Makeup Artistry joined the team for hair and makeup. Seriously, folks, she’s incredible.
I had photographed Nikki, our bride, before and knew she’d be perfect for the shoot. The groom was a bit harder to find. We lost two different models to work commitments and illness. Finally, we ended up with my incredible husband, Joel, filling the groom role.
I’ve been so excited to share these photos, so here they are!
