One of the most exciting things about getting married in Acadia National Park is the variety of stunning backdrops it offers. When I chatted with Brenna and Evan about their dream wedding location, they decided they wanted to exchange vows on Sand Beach. Evan had one more must-have: a stop at some scenic cliffs. After brainstorming more, we decided to include the beautiful Jesup Path for a change of pace—a peaceful, wooded trail that offered a lovely contrast to the beach.
We even managed to take a short hike before meeting their families for the ceremony on Sand Beach! Brenna and Evan were fully prepared, pairing their wedding attire with hiking shoes—proof that you can have a gorgeous wedding with a little adventure included.
I always enjoy seeing the personal touches couples bring to their wedding day, and Brenna had the perfect "something old"—her mother's wedding veil. It was such a sweet and meaningful detail. Meanwhile, Evan noticed another detail while shopping for his suit: the ads' male models always seemed to have damp hair while staring off into the distance. We promised to let him recreate that look at the end of our time together, and honestly, he could give those models a run for their money. A new career, perhaps?
We had such a blast with Brenna and Evan, laughing as we navigated our hike with a wedding dress and multiple cameras strapped to our harnesses. It was clear how playful and in love these two are, making documenting their Sand Beach Acadia wedding even more special.
Here are some of my favorite moments from Brenna and Evan's micro wedding at Sand Beach in Acadia National Park!
