Mike and Adrianna’s Bar Harbor and Acadia Wedding

Mike and Adrianna met at a Blink-182 concert and had their first official date exactly one year later. They love hiking and spending time outdoors with their dog, Murphy, so it was important to them to spend some time in Acadia National Park on their wedding day. Throughout the planning process, we discussed different ways to make this happen before finally deciding to set aside a few hours before the ceremony for the first look at Otter Cliff. This allowed us to take our time in the park while guests were still preparing for the wedding back at the Harborside Hotel, where we'd be returning for the ceremony and reception.

After seeing each other for the first time cliffside, they took turns reading each other letters. They wanted to do something just for them that all of their guests wouldn't witness.

Acadia National Park is busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon in August. These two received a lot of congratulations as we made our way through the wooded pathways to find more secluded overlooks for portraits. Typically, midday light in the summer can be pretty challenging. The light is usually harsh, causing shadows and lots of squinting. However, the sun was on our side, hitting perfectly to help create portraits showcasing the bold blue sky. I may have done a happy dance more than once.

After a sweet ceremony, some cocktails, and a few more portraits at sunset, it was time to open up the dance floor, something Mike and Adrianna had mentioned they were excited about multiple times. The Silver Arrow Band came through, kicking things off with what else? Blink-182.

Here are our favorites from Mike and Adrianna's Bar Harbor and Acadia wedding.
