After hearing about Betsy and Andrew's plans, I couldn't wait to create their Granite Ridge Estate & Barn wedding photos. Granite Ridge has been one of my favorite Maine wedding venues since I photographed the owner's wedding before they had a barn. Andrew and Betsy are Mainers now, but since Andrew is from New Orleans, it was essential for them to tie that into the day. Not only did the decor include the Fleur-de-Lis (Betsy's hairpin even included it!), but they also brought in a second line to lead their guests in a parade to cocktail hour. It was incredible! A family-style dinner made it feel like a cozy holiday dinner with your grandparents on a bigger scale. Family and friends soon became one giant family, which was a blast!
Also, we had one of the most incredible sunsets I've ever experienced while photographing a wedding. You'll see what I mean in the following photos!
