When the day we had initially set for Jolie and Casey’s engagement portraits at Wolfe’s Neck Farm was hit by a sudden and nasty storm, it could have easily thrown a wrench in our plans. However, since they had already made arrangements and were excited about their weekend getaway in Maine, we were determined to make it work. So, we decided to reschedule the shoot for the following morning, despite the initial setback. And you know what? It turned out to be a blessing in disguise!
As luck would have it, our decision to wait a day paid off in ways we couldn’t have imagined. The storm had left very little snow on the ground the day before, but the next morning was a whole different story. It was like stepping into a winter wonderland! The fresh blanket of snow had transformed the landscape into a breathtaking scene.
The beauty of the untouched snow was a perfect match for the joy and excitement that Jolie and Casey radiated. Against the backdrop of snow-covered trees, these two sipped hot chocolate and cuddled under a warm blanket. Every shot captured their incredibly sweet connection. It was a pleasant surprise and a reminder that sometimes, unexpected twists can lead to some pretty cool things.
Ultimately, we were grateful that we didn’t let the storm dampen our spirits. By pivoting and embracing the weather, we were able to create some really beautiful photos. Jolie and Casey, your adventurous spirit and willingness to roll with the punches made the whole experience even more special. Thank you for trusting us to capture your love!
