The initial plan for Kelsey and Brendan’s engagement photos in Portland, Maine, was to spend most of our time downtown, but after checking the forecast, we knew that we needed another plan. These two had a lot of work trips coming up, so there was no chance of rescheduling. We talked about shooting around the inside of their hotel, and then Kelsey asked if we could do some in their room as well. I’m so glad we did! These are easily some of my favorite engagement photos that I’ve ever taken. They’re just so cozy and intimate.
After a bit of champagne in their room, we headed to The Top of the East. The restaurant let us in before they opened for the day, which was so kind of them. What a gorgeous spot!
Finally, we decided to head to Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in nearby South Portland for the last ten minutes of our shoot. It. Was. Cold. The wind was whipping off of the water, and our bodies were instantly numb, but it was worth it for the laughs.
