The day after their wedding, we met up with Alex and Peter for some couple portraits in Bristol, Maine. They really wanted the wedding day focus to be on the people and the fun, so they booked a day after session with us so that we could capture their portraits on their first full day of marriage.
They were so tired, but it was that kind of silly, up-in-the-clouds kind of tired. You know, the happiest kind of tired. We met up around lunchtime, and when I asked how late they had stayed up celebrating, they told me they had gone to bed around 4:00 AM. Clearly, that post-wedding bliss is better than caffeine!
We met up with them at Peter’s family home, where I photographed their engagement photos the previous year. Luckily, it was much warmer this time around. After, we wandered around the neighborhood, finding an empty beach and lots of lovely views of boats. Finally, we ended at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse before sending them on their way ( hopefully to a nap!).
I really loved getting to see these two the day after their wedding. They were exhausted, but so relaxed after all the happy chaos. It might be my new favorite kind of session!
