We photographed Cassie and John's engagement photos at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm a few weeks ago. I love shooting there because there are so many places to explore! There's a beautiful farmhouse with fields nearby and trails through the woods leading to the beach. It really has it all. You can also hold weddings on the property. It's the perfect relaxing spot with plenty of room for wedding guests to roam.
When we started our session, the sun was peeking through the clouds at us, but an unexpected heavy fog rolled in halfway through, making their photos a little more eerie and romantic. They brought their adorable little pup, which made our time together much more fun. I'm a huge fan of including dogs in engagement sessions, especially if your dog can't be present at your wedding. They're such a big part of the family, so it's nice to include them wherever possible. Plus, you can display some of the engagement photos at your wedding!
These two are so wonderful. They're the perfect mix of kind and goofy. It was a joy having them in front of our cameras, and we can't wait to photograph their wedding at Sugarloaf this fall!
