Christine and Matt had a beautiful fall Bethel, Maine wedding at the 1888 Wedding Barn. It's a brand-new wedding venue in Maine, so we were excited to check it out! While Joel and I have photographed several weddings in western Maine, we typically are booked for weddings in southern Maine or along the coast. I love shooting in western Maine. It's one of the best places to visit in the fall because the vibrant foliage and charm of the area are incredible. As we drove from central Maine, I couldn't stop commenting on the pops of color peeking out from the trees.
Christine and Matt were so relaxed when we arrived. Sometimes, couples are anxious or have a solid mix of excitement and nerves, but these two had a very calm excitement. When I asked Christine how she felt, she said, "I'm good! I'm ready to do this thing."
When I first saw Christine's dress, I gasped. It was stunning and unlike any wedding dress I've photographed before. I could see why she fell in love with it when she put it on. It was perfect for her.
A few other highlights from this wedding were the two jumping the broom at the end of their ceremony, swinging together on the adorable loveseat swing at the property, and Matt trying to cheer up a very cute but sad ring-bearer.
Let's get to the photos!
