Louisa & Zach’s August Bar Harbor Wedding

Louisa's family has cultivated a deep connection with Mount Desert Island (MDI). Enveloped in its breathtaking beauty, she envisioned an ideal August wedding in Bar Harbor, aiming to share this cherished place with friends and family. After successfully securing the Bar Harbor Club for the ceremony and reception, Louisa's mom shifted her focus to finding the perfect location for portraits. Specifically, she sought a spot with a stunning backdrop and some privacy, and her efforts led to the discovery of an ideal rental home near the wedding venue.

While Joel engaged with the guys in the club pool house, I found myself in the main building with Louisa, her mom, and her bridesmaids. The ambient '90s pop music playing in the background effectively set the mood as they savored mimosas and underwent the process of having their hair and makeup done. Injecting humor into the atmosphere, Louisa entertained everyone with a horse impression, captured in slow-mo and shared in a group text. These pre-ceremony moments were filled with infectious laughter and pure joy.

After heading to the nearby rental house for a first look and capturing portraits against the picturesque cliffs, we circled back to the Bar Harbor Club for an emotional ceremony, a lively cocktail hour, and a reception adorned with heartfelt yet hilarious toasts to the newlyweds. Selecting images for this blog post proved challenging, given the sheer abundance of photos capturing Louisa's radiant smile (she indeed possesses an incredible smile and captivating eyes), all while Zach looks on, perfectly content.
