Ashleigh and Dillon’s Bar Harbor Inn wedding called for an early morning regarding hair and makeup. They wanted to give guests the whole Bar Harbor experience, so they planned a late morning ceremony so their reception would wrap up around 4:00 pm. Then, guests could take a little time to refresh before jumping on trolleys to head to a sunset cruise afterparty that evening. Then, there was an after-after party downtown for those who were down to keep celebrating. This ended up being a great idea because as we were getting off the boat, Ashleigh said to me, “I’m not ready for it to be over.”
There were so many well-planned details at this wedding. Ashleigh and Dillon wore not one but two fantastic outfits (I swooned hard over Ashleigh’s reception dress and Dillon’s green suit). Instead of a traditional guest book, they had an old rotary phone for guests to leave messages on (I overheard both heartfelt and hilarious messages). And, in case you were worried that an early afternoon reception would have an empty dance floor, I’m happy to report that Ashleigh and Dillon brought in the Silver Arrow Band to guarantee it would remain packed. Honestly, the group members we worked with at this wedding were some of the best performers we’ve ever heard at a wedding.
I could go on and on, but why don’t we get to the photos? Here are our favorites!
