Anika and Brad’s Deer Isle Engagement Photos at Aragosta

Brad reached out to me with the sweetest plan. He wanted to propose to Anika at Aragosta on Deer Isle, then ease into an unhurried engagement session that felt true to who they are together. Aragosta was the perfect place to begin, tucked along the water and wrapped in that quiet, unmistakable coastal Maine atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

We started their Deer Isle engagement photos at Aragosta before making our way to nearby Stonington. The two of them were absolutely giddy, still floating in the newness of their engagement. I followed their lead, capturing the laughter, the closeness, and the in-between moments as they unfolded naturally.

At Aragosta, the evening light was warm and golden. By the time we reached Stonington, it had softened into something calm and ethereal. The water was glassy, the beach nearly empty, and the stillness felt incredibly peaceful. It truly felt like the best of both worlds. One of those rare evenings that stretches gently, never rushing, lingering exactly where it should.

Brad and Anika were completely at ease together, which made photographing them feel effortless. Nothing was forced. Nothing felt overly posed. It was simply the two of them, present and enjoying the moment.

After our time in Stonington, they returned to Aragosta for an intimate dinner to celebrate their engagement. Ending the evening where it began felt especially meaningful and marked the start of this new season in their lives.
