Alex & Peter’s Bristol Maine Wedding at The 1812 Farm

Camden, Rockland, and Midcoast Maine Weddings and Elopements

Alex and Peter's Bristol, Maine wedding was a dream to photograph. These two really wanted to focus on being present with family and friends on the day, so they booked a portrait session for the day after their wedding to do the bulk of their portraits. They also requested only a handful of family photos, which took just a few minutes to get through. Joel and I were given the green light to go wild with the candids, which is incredibly fun for a wedding photographer. It also allowed these two to relax and enjoy every moment with their guests.

This wedding had SO much of Alex and Peter's personalities shining through. There was Peter's fantastic purple suit, Alex's bold yellow eyeshadow that paired perfectly with her unique bridal style (seriously, I want to get married again and channel Alex), necklaces with photos documenting things of importance in their relationship (including Rob Lowe) and cardboard cut-outs of their pets, Justice and Ponsie. One of my favorite details was their painting station during cocktail hour. Alex explained that they did it with friends at gatherings to help break the ice. Guests collaborated on canvas, giving Alex and Peter some really cool art to bring home. How awesome is that!? Oh, and I can't forget to mention the fact that a friend of theirs performed "All Star" by Smash Mouth during cocktail hour. It was absolutely a hit with everyone.

I have to give a shout-out to Stone Cove Catering. We've worked with them many times now, and they always go above and beyond to feed us excellent food and help us with anything we need, like mixing up an extra signature cocktail so that we can grab some photos of it. They're the best!
