Alessandra and Sam's Cape Elizabeth wedding at Inn by the Sea was our last wedding of the 2022 season. It had all the perfect coastal Maine fall vibes, with the ocean view in the distance and a wooded boardwalk leading down to a beach, which was perfect for slipping away from the reception tent for some gorgeous but chilly sunset photos.
I started the day with Alessandra, who I could immediately tell was incredibly loved. Her mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousins, friends, and soon-to-be mother-in-law were all present. Even her furry brother-in-law-to-be (Sam's mom's dog) visited for a while. People were spilling out of the space, sharing laughter, tears, and stories of growing up with Alessandra. There was talk of how different Taylor Swift albums got them through various parts of life.
Sam kept his getting ready process quiet, sitting and chatting with his immediate family and ensuring his uniform looked perfect for the day (his nameplate has been removed from photos for privacy).
When it was time to go, we shuttled to downtown Portland for their wedding ceremony at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, one of the most beautiful churches we've ever photographed.
From there, we traveled to Kettle Cove for some portraits of Sam and Alessandra before heading back to the Inn for their cocktail hour and reception.
The Jameson Four kept the dance floor packed all night, performing songs by Lit, Jimmy Eat World, and Blink 182, to name a few.
It was a fantastic way to end our season. Here are some of our favorite photos!
