Tom and Alanna’s Maine wedding at The Barn at Flanagan Farm ended up being a rainy one, but these two happily threw on some rain boots and grabbed an umbrella and made the best of it. We even got a few minutes where the rain stopped for some portraits outside. Yay!
I met up with Alanna and her mother, Hazel, more than a year before her and Tom’s wedding, and within seconds of sitting down with them, I knew that they were my kind of people. They were both funny, kind and so excited about the wedding, and I crossed my fingers, toes and anything else I could in hopes that Joel and I would get to photograph it. They booked us that day and as they were about to leave, Hazel told me that Alanna had been really excited about Joel and I. I’m so glad that the excitement was all around!
Tom and Alanna were our last wedding of the year and I can’t think of a better way to have ended our season. So many thanks to this sweet couple for their kindness and love, and for embracing the rain on their wedding day.
