Abby's Acadia senior portraits were a bonus round of photos for her. Her aunt is also a photographer and would be taking some senior portraits back in their home state. However, after her family started planning a trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, they decided it would be fun for her to have some in a completely different environment.
The day we were supposed to meet up ended up being rainy, so we pushed our session to the following day when, according to multiple weather apps, the weather was supposed to be nice. We noticed some ominous clouds moving in about thirty minutes into our session. By the time we moved on to our next location, Jordan Pond, a steady sprinkle was coming down. Abby was such a trooper, ducking in and out from under one of the several umbrellas I always keep in my car for such occasions.
Our last location involved a bit of a hike, which Abby and her family were still up for doing in the rain. By the time we got to the top, it was pouring rain. A thick sheet of fog had moved in, almost completely blocking any sort of view. We rolled with it, though, and Abby twirled in the rain. Bonus: the fog acted as a diffuser for the sunset, giving us this fun pink light to work with. Extra bonus: Abby rocked the wet hair look.
Here are my favorites from our time together.
