Bill officiated a wedding we did a few years back. He received an album from the bride and groom as a thank you gift, so when it came time for his own Seal Harbor, Maine wedding, he decided to reach out. I was thrilled to hear from him! He explained that he had been friends with Hornor since their college days. Years passed, both of them had families, and then, one day, they surprised everyone when they announced that they had fallen in love. I love this story. The fact that, sometimes, you can know someone for multiple decades before falling in love is fascinating and a bit magical.

Bill and Hornor decided to marry in a small ceremony at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, where Bill has been a Reverend for years. Their only witnesses (aside from us) were their children and their two best friends.

After the ceremony, we took just a few portraits before heading back to their home to capture them enjoying the warm summer afternoon with their loved ones.

These two were such a joy to spend time with. They were so gracious and happy and adorable in their suits. I wish we had been able to spend more than just a couple hours with them.

Here are our favorites from their day!
