When you plan a winter wedding in Maine, you never know what kind of weather you’re going to get. Sarah and DJ married in Sangerville over Christmas weekend. When I met up with them a week or so before their wedding, the forecast called for snow. What we got instead was a mix of snow and freezing rain. As Joel and I traveled through the terrible conditions, I hoped that these two wouldn’t let the weather get them down. If it did, it certainly didn’t show. While I was bundled up in two pairs of socks, lined Bean boots, a long jacket, scarf, hat and mittens, Sarah braved the freezing rain in bare arms. She had a smile on her face the entire time and didn’t complain once. Their portraits came out stunning! You would never know how miserable it was outside. The snow and DJ’s uniform really added to the romance as well.
