I photographed Rosie's senior portraits in Orland, Maine a couple of weeks ago. Rosie will be graduating next spring with the John Bapst class of 2013.
The first thing I noticed about Rosie is that she's a bit of an old soul. I always forget how old she is because she's just so kind, intelligent, and talented! Rosie is a trained opera singer, which you don't often hear when working with teenagers, especially in Maine. She's been working toward that goal for years, and it was very clear after our session that she is incredibly driven. Not only that but she's recorded an album!
Rosie is also a classic beauty with a timeless style. Combine that with her singing talent, and I could picture her in an old Hollywood musical.
For this session, I headed to Rosie's home in Orland where the wind was wild and the view amazing. Her best friend, Katlyn, remained close by, offering words of encouragement and even jumping in a few photos at one point. These two were so funny together and, clearly, a great match.
