I first met Ashley at a bachelorette party for a mutual friend. I was immediately drawn to her outgoing personality and humor. When she contacted us about photographing her wedding, I was thrilled, and super excited to meet Tom. We met up with Ashley, Tom, and Ashley’s daughter for coffee, wedding planning, and a lot of talk about our mutual love of dogs and trust issues with birds. It was pretty great.

We started our 2018 wedding photography season with these two at The Lakeside Barn at Duck Puddle Campground.  It was our first time photographing there, but it instantly became a favorite. As a Maine girl who camped a lot as a kid, I love campground weddings. We photographed these two getting ready in their cabins, at their first look at one of the campsites, exchanging vows in a field on a hill, and mingling with guests inside the gorgeous barn. It was perfection.

Also, these two get major props because Ashley made the bouquets, most of the desserts, and the wedding cake herself (with a little help on frosting from her mom), and Tom made the cake topper!

Keep an eye out for one of my absolute favorite moments of the day. During the ceremony, Tom read vows he had written for Ashley’s daughter as well. I think everyone got a little choked up. I know I did.
