Maine Winter Portraits | Alisha, Dylan, and their Bernese Mountain Dog & Puppy

Catching up with past wedding clients is fantastic. I love hearing about what they’ve been up to since we last saw them. For example, we photographed Alisha and Dylan’s Northeast Harbor wedding in Maine in 2016. We loved spending the day with the two of them and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Bayler. Fast forward to 2017, when Alisha reached out to me before the holidays because they were adding to their family. A Bernese Mountain Dog puppy was on the way, and she was wondering if we’d be able to take some snowy Maine winter portraits of the new family of four.

We jumped at the chance! We met them at the Bangor City Forest on a perfect winter day. We had just received some fresh snow, and a tiny snowfall was happening as we photographed. There’s nothing more magical than snowflakes softly falling during a portrait session.

The dynamic between Bayler and their new puppy, Boden, was adorable. Being a typical little brother, Boden is so fascinated by Bayler that he would stop and look over his shoulder to ensure Bayler is close by. My heart melted every single time. Unfortunately, I left with some significant puppy fever.

Here are some favorites!
