I mentioned back when I shared their engagement session that Amy and I had spent a lot of time playing together as kids before her family moved away. Her parents were close with mine. So, it was a little surreal to hear from her all these years later when she inquired about wedding photography. Are we really old enough to be married now!?
It felt really special to be there on her wedding day, surrounded by her family, as she married Nick. I never really expected to see her again in person after so many years, let alone be her wedding photographer, so it was an awesome experience.
Funny thing, Nick and Amy actually dated in junior high, broke up and wound up back together years later. Amy just has a way of drawing people back to her, I guess.
